No. the U100 uses Zigbee. which offers higher security. faster response. and better stability than Wi-Fi. Note: Remote control requires a hub. such as an Apple Home Hub or an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub (e.g.. G2H Pro. G3. G410. G5 Pro. M2. M3. M1S).

If I don't have a hub. can I still use the U100 smart lock?

Yes. you can connect your phone to the lock via Bluetooth to set passwords. fingerprints. and modes. However. you won't be able to use remote unlocking. connect it to Alexa or Google Home. or share Apple Home Keys without a hub.

Can I connect the U100 to Google. Alexa. Matter. or Home Assistant?

Yes. it works with Google. Alexa. and Matter. but you'll need both an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub and the hub for the platform you want to use. It's not compatible with Home Assistant.

What type of batteries does the U100 use? Are there any requirements?

Please use 1.5V alkaline batteries only. Using other types of batteries may cause the lock to malfunction or result in unstable performance.
